Gray bricks made up the hard floor and beige ones made the walls. ![]() When he could finally make out some loose form of his surroundings, he saw that he was in a dreary-looking room. He could barely feel anything, but what he could feel was a sharp tinge of pain throughout many parts of his body. ![]() Lex’s world slowly returned to him in an aching haze. His mind fell further and further, and within seconds, there was nothing. “Nngh, dnn …” He tried to protest, tried to do anything. He was beginning to panic, realizing that he had been injected with some sort of tranquilizer or something! His sight blurred even further, and his eyelids fell closed against his will. Lex tried to get back up, but his arms weren’t moving. Just as he finally got back up on his feet, he felt his legs collapse underneath him, sending him back onto the floor.Īll this time, the attacker just stood there smiling evilly, as if aware of Lex’s increasingly weary state. He wasn’t as loud or fierce as he intended to be, as if he had just woken from a long nap. “Wh- what did you do? Who are you?!” Lex shouted, or tried to shout. He stumbled around trying to get back up, but felt as though his body was slowly refusing to respond. As Lex looked up at his assailant, his noticed that his sight had blurred. He punched Lex square in the face, knocking him onto the floor. The white fox then shoved Lex back into the house and shut and locked the door. Lex roared in shock and pain, dropping the clipboard and pen. Before Lex could even react, the syringe was plowed violently into Lex’s neck. However, as Lex looked down and began writing out his name, the delivery man suddenly, quickly drew out a syringe. The fox handed Lex a clipboard and pen, and Lex went to signing off on the delivery. “I just need you to sign, a-and then I’ll be on my way.” Fine, thanks for asking,” the white fox replied. While he usually received deliveries from a brown wolf, this time there was a white fox, slightly larger than him, holding his mail. Lex opened up, and was slightly surprised to see a delivery man he didn’t recognize. Looking forward to receiving it, he got up off the sofa and headed for the door. He was also excited because he had been expecting a package to arrive that evening.Ī sudden loud knock on Lex’s door, followed by a doorbell ringing, signified the arrival of that very package. He kicked his feet up on the footrest as he lounged back on his sofa, enjoying himself after an exhaustive session at the gym and a refreshing shower, feeling wholly refreshed. ![]() On a peaceful, clear Thursday evening, Lex was relaxing comfortably in his humble abode.
